I put B Speech and Hearing Science as 3rd pref, but I don't really want to go there. I really want to go to UQ. 4 out of my 6 QTAC preferences are for UQ, and if I get offered to go there I'm definitely accepting. And if I don't get accepted to UQ (for speech pathology, arts, science, or communication) then I won't be accepted to Macq either, unless the cutoff drops by about 10 points.

i wanted to put down B Ancient History (Honours) but i'm wasting a pref, and im dreaming.
Non-award --(pass marks or greater)--> BA (ancient History) --(credit average)--> BAncHist(Hons) :)

[Or you could just do a BA (Ancient History) and do exactly the same subjects.]

Well I've directly applied for a Certificate in Languages at Macquarie to go with my Bachelor(s) wherever I end up. The Bachelor programs I have in my prefs though for Mac are:
2-LLB/BA(Psych)
3-BSc(Psych)
4-BA(Psych)
6-BA
If I go somewhere else but don't do a double degree, then I'll either increase my CertLang to a DipLang or add a Mac Bachelor to my workload(ie two Bachelors between 2 unis).

lol don't worry. I wasent saying anything bad about Mac.
Then perhaps it would be judicious for you to clarify what you were saying.

natstar will argue how cutoffs won't mean anything.

However, I must say, those new courses with stupid names are retarded. They really are. You will be doing the same subjects as someone in straight business (if you wanted to).

The fact is that
Bachelor of Business Administration (International Studies)
Bachelor of International Business
Bachelor of Commerce
Bachelor of Business (International Business)

are all practically the same thing.
It's like at usyd, I can do B Commerce or Commerce (liberal studies) or whatever and major in international business.

I actually disaprove of getting a specific International Business degree as that puts you out of a lot of job (albeit, it is admittedly good for getting an MBA)
