hey all, i was wondering if anyone could tell me about what makes a good art portfolio for and interview

any help would be appreciated

A variety of different work, works done outside of school [in your own time] and of course creativity. It should have at least 6 pieces of work in it.

I'm creating one now for a graphic design course and I have some photography, some drawings + photos of my major work [painting]. I think that should be enough...

one thing im hearing around town, from both interviewers and students at places like SCA and wollongong is that if you have 10 really strong works and 20 others that are just good, then make the portfilo from the 10 not 30. however make sure you get feed back on all your works before hand because there maybe ones there which you personally dont like but others do, and thus should prolly be put in.
