hmmm
the test was easy.... however i think ill probably end up with raw mark of around 70 upward... fuked up those stupid calculations on the copper rod thing ><

and judging from friends responses after the test and most of you guys,,, im guessing that 70 will not amount to a band 5 this year.... so im probably looking at a high band 4 ><

i've spoken to SO many people from SO many other schools

they are really positive about their marks and they're all getting really huge marks, same as their school friends. theyre ranged from school ranks 80 to 130. this was a really, really, REALLY easy exam i don't see how you could get below 90 raw.

band 6 cut off this year would be about 89-90/100 and the band 5 cut off would be about 80/100 at minimum

cant be that high? i found 2004 paper just as easy and 87/100 is scaled up to 95

no way the cut off for band 5 would be 80 raw.

i think two years ago 65% raw can get you a low band 5....ist on one of the forums go check it out

Most of you guys are WWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAY too positive.

Verbs verbs verbs. If you didnt fill out the whole page with writing for the 4 mark questions your'e gonna lose a mark. Use most of the back page for the 6 and 7 mark questions. Again, if you believe youve done that with success, I'll not question your hopes. But otherwise, rethink what you people are saying.

Discuss, Analyse, Explain. I doubt many of you will get over 90 raw. They will mark harsh.

I'd like to say low 90s for myself but I know that they mark harsh and I'll put myself down to 83-85, also trying to account for silly mistakes.

Of course, I'm not a band 6 student so I'm not gonna jduge how you guys go. But I do want my external mark to be in the 90s, otherwise I'm fucked.

I recon 70% is realistic. Low-mid band 5

Normally 65% scales to a low band 5. i think this test was very similar in difficulty with the 2004 test so i think between 65-70% will see a band 5.

the raw mark cut offs do change but they usually remain fairly consistent in terms of a scale....for exaxmple around 60-70 would be band 5, about 85+ would be a low band 6...

My 75% prediction above includes minus 2 marks for every question with 5 or more marks (there are 5 questions including option). I know I got 6 wrong in Multiple Choice. 7 marks obvious mistakes and 2 marks for silly mistakes in short answers and option.

after the test I thought I had about 80% raw for sure, but looking back over it now probably 70% raw :bomb:
