What to do if ur intended attatchment is too big? (1 Viewer)

So what do u do? I want to upload some summaries in the chem section of the forum but it always says that the attatchment is too big...any ideas?

Get a smaller attachment.
Host it on your own space and link it in.
Resize the image (if it's an image) and try again.

meh its pdf...i dont have my own space though...thinking about it its only 350k and its too large!!

If it was separate files you could just post them in separate posts in the same thread. Can you compress it in anyway? Perhaps spilt it into two smaller files?

have u uploaded a lot to bos....I think each person has a certain amount of space....go to ur user CP and it will say attachments...take a look there then post back and I'll see what I can do

i think the limit is 250 but my files 350 damn do u think u can increase the limit...theres not much to upload if theres a 250kb limit

upload to your personal websapce and put a link to the file.

there is a reason the attachment space was reduced from 10 megs a while ago.

no, it is just that the server bandwidth cost money

and people will upload useless junk.

oh so you want attachment space increased for you only?

i'm not sure if that can be done.

and my chem/physics notes were never accepted either.

i'm not exactly sure, you'll have to wait for a responce from the admins or pm them

Y dont u try putting the document into 2 files e.g. one section in document 1 and the other part in document 2
that will bring down the size and then u mite b able 2 upload it
try it and let me know how it goes
