NSW UAI: Oh wait. Drum roll.......... 100 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D!!!!!!!!!! SHIT YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ahahahh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
I have never been so happy and/or satisfied in my life. This year has been tough: with me having to move out of home due to an abusive family, etc. I just wanted to show them that I can make it on my own and I did. THis is truly the happiest moment ever.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

:D:D:D:D:D Not only did you make it on your own, but you did it without *gasp* any maths whatsoever. I - and I imagine all the other General maths/no maths people - salute you! :D

ALSO, since im on a whinge roll, i'd like to say that i think its crap that art students dont get their major work raw marks, ext 2 does, so whats the difference? i guess its a harder subject so they deserve the mark.
Actually, it's because of the supporting documentation (or lack of).

The EE2 "supporting documentation" (about 1500 words) is included as part of the actual Major Work mark. Therefore the actual process can be documented, and marked internally.

Visual Arts and Textiles (yes, I did textiles) have a separate Supporting Documentation from their MW. The latter is big, chunky, and deserving of a separate mark from the MW. With "two" potential marks already taken up, there's not much space left for the process to be examined internally.

It's not about being "harder" or "easier", it's just how the subject is structured.

its interesting to see how UAC decides everyones UAI's based on their choice of subjects, did anyone who did art/hospitality get over 90?? I bet you didnt, and its crap, those subjects are not any easier than others, they are just different, art for example, is exactly like history, but both ancient and modern are scaled better than it.

ALSO, since im on a whinge roll, i'd like to say that i think its crap that art students dont get their major work raw marks, ext 2 does, so whats the difference? i guess its a harder subject so they deserve the mark.

Everyone who didnt get a good UAI, dont stress, you can always take a year off, transfer, whatever, its not the end of the world, do you think when you graduate people will still be asking 'what was your UAI?'. I wish the entire class of 2005 the best of luck and i hope youre happy whichever path you choose to take. :)

I did visual arts and business which both scale poorly and got 97.1 - everyone always told me not to do art because it'd make me do poorly but it turned out fine

Congratulations, that circumstance would make your victory so much sweeter :)

I lived through something like that too, the whole abusive family situation. But I think I did pretty well considering. (I got 97.95). Just shows how far human strength and motivation can go sometimes.

I got 99.0 so I'm ecstatic! SAM told me I would get 99.2, so it was a little bit off.

SAM doesn't predict your UAI!!!! Why is everyone so stupid. It predicts it for last year (if you got the same marks last year, what you'd get)

How isnt are documented!! thats the whole concept behind the VAPD- visual arts PROCESS diary (for those of you playing at home)is that it follows the process of the artwork.. do you mean that theyre too lazy to mark something which we spend the entire year doing because it is MANDATORY? It just makes me angry is all, we spend just as much time and energy, not to mention money on our mw, we deserve something for it.

It should be able to provide an indication of your UAI in any year though.
