I'm calling:

Module A - Essay
Module B - Essay
Module C - Other

As long as the first 2 are essays, I should be OK!

I just have a funny feeling something's going to be very different.
Did you know they can ask for a brochure?!

(ps yay! I am now no longer a post-virgin!)

I really cant see them changing Module A bcoz simply it'd be too hard to change a comparative study of text and context. I think the only possibility would be a speech and that'd be very similar to a prepared essay anyway. My hunch is another Module C change.

I'm up for 2 essays and another format (speech or feature article)
Haha this topic has got my hopes up. I'll probably be looking at the exam on Thursday thinking "why???!!!?"

Could someone plz explain the nature of a feature article and apply it to one of the modules?

PS- Is it true that they can only ask for 1 module to be
changed to a feature article, speech...etc ?

I'd still like this q answered

P.S I have my bets on module C being a feature article

I had a Module A assessment task where the composer of Clueless had a television discussion with three Austen-purists. She had to defend the changes she made to Emma, it wasn't that bad.

yeh Module A by its nature really requires an essay to compare texts.

My money is on:

Mod A: Essay
Mod B: Something random.....speech etc
Mod C: Essay

I reckon that module A will stay an essay. I think the aim is to keep it simple, and this could explain why it has always been an essay in the past.

I wouldnt trust BOS to keep it simple

if you've prepared an integrated essay
its annoying to change either of the Modules

I'd trust them. After the Journey's paper, I honestly believe they're making it simple for us so we can get good marks, just so they can say their education system is awesome.

could be to get Brendan Nelson off their back

but I'd still prefer Module A to be changed than the other 2

module a will not be an essay - i would be incredibly surprised if it was - and if it is an essay it will be a hard question

Okay lets put some money on it.

I'm not going to bother studying any of the text types other than essay, because I'll be hard pressed remembering the essays that I dreamt up today.
So my bets are on 1 essay, 1 speech, 1 article.

At least if I screw the exam I can make some money out of it.

I'm thinking

Module A: Speech
Module B: Essay
Module C: Feature article/discussion

but i'm always wrong, so just expect the opposite

Omg it was the opposite. Module A was an essay, Module B was more an informal essay and Module C was an essay.

Moral of the story, its always the opposite of what I predict.
