Ecologically Sustainable Development

It pursuing economic growth or development that is compatible with the long-term preservation of hte environment, rather than merely pursuing the maximum rate of economic growth in the short term

-mainly, for government to achieve economic growth tht is consistant with preserving the environment in the long run..rather than promoting growth for the sake of it

Hope it helps

Ecologically sustainable development - defined in the Brunstadt report as "... development which meets the needs of present generations without compromising the needs of future generations.'

basically it revolves around the preservation of resources, efficient resource use, lowering of pollution, protecting the environment etc etc...
