Im curious to know what schools are doing what

Well im making a 30 sec commercial in Flash
but we had a choice of a 2 min movie as well in Flash...

We were forced to use Visual Basic, but I was happy with that.

I had to use, FutureBasic, like VB except that I had to plot line by line the entire interface. I feel so sorry for myself

Using a proecdural language such as Pascal or C helps your algorithims btw...

So using flash is a problem

The trick was to combine graphics to make it look good and create more than one simple function...

My Assignment Included:
- Splash Screen (prettyful)
- Checkers
- Othello/Reversi
- Tic-Tac-Toe
- Snakes and Ladders
- Notepad thing
- Web browser (very basic)
- Icon Editor
- Hex Editor

There were about 4 more things but I can't remember, when I find the CD with the latest source code I'll post...

If we did all that, it would not help much towards getting full marks, as we only had 6/63 marks for coding, and all the rest was documentation.

Our school has 20 coding, 30 theory... out of 50... 0.0

But yeah, I wanted impressivley huge documentation.

I dont know what our major project is gonna be, but for our current project we have to make a childrens game using VB6 testing them in a variety of subjects. I think its worth 20%. Pretty simple actually, just a few check boxes here, and some radio buttons there, text boxes, clicking on stuff etc

ha ha IM forced to do ascoring thing for a sport game...i picked skateboarding...we already had one assessment on the documntation part of it and i came first in my class but only got 32/40...VB IS SHIT!!! You lucky bastards getting 2 use flash! Im heaps worse at coding then documentation, i can work but i ahve no real skill...im the onyl chick in my class and it sucks.

IF anything, VB users have an advantage as it is more similar to algorithms, and lets you practice more. There's no way that flash people have any advantage, as you are not going to get any questions on either, and the marks you get for flash will only be compared with people in your class, who also use flash. So in no way do people using it get any advantage.
