I'm tossing up between doing a Political Science Major or a Peace and Conflict Studies Major.
In general, which do you reckon would allow me better prospects?
(I do plan to carry on to Masters level btw)

Pol. Sci. is the more well known option. It probably gives you broader options as well.

Which uni?

Pol Sci is definitely the more well known one. You'll have broader options when it comes to honours and postgraduate work. On the other hand, if you're sure you want to do peace and conflict studies for honours and postgrad, then you might find it more interesting to do that.

If I was an employer (with my current knowledge), I would pick the Politcal Science guy. Why? Because when I read 'Peace and Conflict Studies Major' I do 'never heard of that before, sounds sort of like a hippie degree like women's studies'

Pol Sci will be more widely recognised.

Towner, don't bother posting stupid comments unless you've got something worthwhile to say to back them up - you're not funny.
