all im saying is that it isn't as bad as your making it out to be. the way you have talked UNSW just doesn't sound realistic. a few of my mates go to UNSW and all have stated that it doesn't live up to its reputation. so lets just conclude that we agree to disagree. ok?

I'm saying from personal experience it's lived up to all of the expectations I had about it and substantially impressed me over UTS.

more like you had such a shit time at UTS that anything slightly better at UNSW would be exaggerated by you.

however, ill take your word for it.

I want to do satellites if possible and USyd offers mechatronics (sapce) but UNSW doesn't.

Should i do mechatronics (space) at USyd or just telecommunications at UNSW?

Quick question is aerospace engineering at UNSW (cutoff - 88) better than at USYD (cutoff - 99.65)?

The cutoff just depends on demand and supply, it doesn't reflect the actual quality of the course. So basically more people want to go to Usyd than UNSW... but UNSW has the better engineering facility so i have no idea which one is better for engineering in general.

unsw has aerospace but telecomm doesn't seem to have any specific satellite design electives although the other electives combined might help you there but overall elec or telecomm is a more solid and broad choice.

Is UNSW Eng worth an extra 30-40min travel each way? I'm having slight difficulty choosing between UTS & UNSW for Eng, and while most in this thread have given decent arguements (while possibly subjective) about UNSW being better, it'd be an extra 30-40min each way.

What, UNSW is a 10 min bus trip from UTS.

in peak hour no fuken way. included waiting for a bus and you prob wont get a seat aswell....

in morning is ok coz they have dedicated bus'. in the evening the bus' can be pretty sparse

Yeah the dedicated buses that are always there

yeah and i suppose u got some special pass that lets u on without having to queue up and also a specail bus driver who smashes thru all the other cars and traffic lights to get u to unsw within your required 10minutes haha
