:( I hate my major work too.
Start of this year I told myself "C'MON! START NOW! START NOW!"
but just about 2 weeks ago I realsied I haven't done jack!!

Got couple of cardboards, drew comics on them, got photoshop
and did some digital stuff, got my paint brush and inked...
but still, I HATE IT!

My teacher was going on about I should have a COW...
he wanted me to do a painting, drawing, sculture,
digital stuff, video etc etc:eek:

and look at me now :(

hahaha well i'm sure it's not that bad in the end ; ) rushed jobs look 'arty' anyway...

it's kinda weird hearing all these people who started their major works like less than a month before due date...cos like our art teacher's really organised and stuff so we had to think of ideas in term 4, and finalise them by the beginning of this year. i mean, of course most of us didn't *actaully* start till about term 2, but we all had pretty concrete ideas by then.

i think all of us spend most of sunday night finihing our artworks too.

we're just all glad to get them over and done with

lol ya, I'm so glad its over too :)

speaking of sunday nights, I've been staying up for way too
long, can't even get up in the morning anymore :D
I remember when Art Express was on earlier this year, went to
see it and I got really motivated to do a great work. But weekend
after weekends, its just party party party :p

but anywho, it's all done now :) No more!

I started my artwork on the thursday before the day it was due. There was an exhibition on the Thursday, so I had to make a cnavas, prime it and do a whole artwork in a few hours. Well I managed to do more than half of it (bear in mind the canvas is 170 X 90 cm). I then finished the rest of it on Friday, touched it up on the weekend, and there you go a full artwork in 4 days. :)

It was actually my teachers idea to do a whole artwork on the day of the exhibition, I wouldn't do something like that radical. I was just gonna finish my 10 small (40 X 40cm) drawings. She motivated me by saying that a few years ago some guy managed to finish an entire artwork the night before and he got into artexpress LOL!

Anyways I might give you guys a look at it, but bare in mind it took me 4 days and its rather personal...

And to answer the question, I'm reasonably happy with it. I could've done so much better though, and I shouldn't have wasted the entire year. It's been a dream of mine to get into artexpress, its probably extremely unlikely now...

i was very disappointed in the amount of time + effort i put into mine! and the result turned out plain, simple and generally deserving of zero marks T____T

if it has any 3d stuff (which mine does), it s'posed to fit in a totat of 1 cubic metre vol...

i.e. whatever x whatever x whatever = 1 cubic metre...

but u can send it as a mixture i think.. like my friend had an installation of 2D works + a video.. all her 2D works were on 2 seperate wall thingies and what she did was reconstruct the walls using large sheets of cardboard (max is 6m long) and gave instructions to the BOS of how to set it up, including the video at the centre of the 'walls'..

does that make sense? u dont have a large 3D thing do u? i thought most of ur works were 2D?? well thats what i saw in ur pics anyway :D :)
