I know someone who topped 2 subjects (maths and physics) and only got 99.90. English dragged him down...unfortunately the same thing will probably happen to me.

Damn, I gotta hit some books now. (for English, that is)
we all know your going to get 100
what english do you do?

Wells got 100 and only state ranked in german. Yeow got 100 and only state ranked in 4english. you dont need to state rank in everything to get 100.

Has anyone gotten 100 without a state rank?
it's definitely possible. i know someone who only got a state ranking for music 2 who got a 100. a non-state rank physics could get a very close scaled mark.

Yeah, you probably could, but you'd probably be the last of the people to get a UAI of 100. But there are plenty of 99.95s who don't get state ranked in anything. I guess you'd have to be like 21st or something out of physics, chem, bio, English or maths, or else be like 6th in the distinction courses.

Non-state rank:
99.4 for 4u
99 for 3u
96 phys
97 chem
96 eng
overall = 487

so it's doable.

is Kate a debater/public speaker?

I seem to remember someone by that name from state debating (if it's the same person, smart cookie!)...

and congratulations to her :)

theres a girl at nsg class of 09 who i BET you will get 100 UAI and state rank in almost all (if not all) of her subjects. she's a beast. there hasn't been anyone in the recent history of nsg who could possibly beat her.

if anyone can beat 497, its her :D
care to give a name? Most of my primary school class went to NSG

i have no idea, i only know that she got 100 UAI because everyone in the school gets sent home like a newsletter with the HSC results and highest UAIs and such.

Which Sarah? I can't remember many people apart from those in our class :p

There's a guy in our year at SBHS who (everyone thinks) will almost definitely get 100. 4U English, 4U Maths, 3U Latin, 3U Classical Greek and 3U Music. 17 units, but get this though; he did 2U Music 2, 2U Maths and 2U Latin accelerated last year, and got 98, 96 and 98 respectively. He's topped Greek every year except one (but hopefully I'll make sure he doesn't top it this year ;)), Latin every year, Music most years, and Maths and English at least once in separate years. He might drop from 4->3 Maths, but I dunno

K, I did not get 100 myself (I haven't done the HSC yet), but I'm just curious to see who did get 100.
There were 23, at least 9 of which were from Ruse. I also know that Daniel Swain from Smiths Hill, Kate *something* from Abbotsleigh, Justin Zuo from Sydney Boys, and Emmanuel Marinos from Sydney Grammar got 100. Is there a list anywhere that has all the people who got 100?

Thanks go to zomg, lionking1191, georgefren, sirfeathers, beeish and midifile.

Sen Lin - James Ruse
