lolI drink alcohol once every 3 months maybe? Otherwise i'm teetotal.
I'm open to new things, but i just haven't considered/had the opportunity for trying anything illicit.
having said that it's a personal decision. It does concern me however how some participants appear to be glamourising drug use - particularly to people in year 10 and downwards who may not be able to make a sensible decision on this forum. WHile i don't condemn the personal choice of drugs use as it stands it still remains
1. dangerous (origin and contents of illicit drugs is highly questionable)
2. highly illegal.
As much as we doubt the rationale for the above in terms of a public policy context, i advise anyone thinking about doing drugs to consider the legal ramifications it entails.
Also, while i'm personally for legalisation of drugs and a gradual winding back of drug offences, we still need to acknowledge we have a big ice epidemic on our doorsteps. A large number of people are developing Treatment Resistive Methamphetamine Psychosis and as i see it current debates on drug use on BOS in favour of legalisation don't address this.
teetotal.
Wouldn't a desire to escape the REAL world cassify you as a not-real person? Drugs are for the weaklings who can't handle life.If you haven't ingested at least 3 illicit substances at some point YOU ARE NOT A REAL PERSON
hahahah ahahhahaLets assume that these people are not doing it to look cool, fit in and because everyone else is doing it. Lets assume that these people have mental illness or are going/have been through through a really tough time.
Some people do it to escape pain and reality in the same way that you might go an listen to music or go for a run when you are angry or stressed- it helps you feel better and somewhat forget about whats making you stressed. They go drink, smoke and do drugs. It turns into a coping mechanism that really isn't helping them in the long run, but in the short term its alleviating the pain that they are in.
Some people have an addictive personality which basically makes it easy for them to become hooked on something and difficult to leave it once they are hooked.
u loser u should take up hobbies like knitting and stamp collectinghahahah ahahhaha
ahaha
ahahah
ahaha
what a fucking square
did you ever think that perhaps it is also fucking fun?
fuck iv had great times getting so drunk i pass out
Why do you do anything?
Sure drugs, alcohol etc are dangerous, what isnt? my favourite things in the world are dangerous tbh
cool fact: you're going to die.Better then slow and painful death.
$30 fuck you're ballin'Once in a while you have to indulge on a $12 Romeo y Julieta or even a $30 Montecristo, really sets you apart from the cigarette smokers. An experience in class.
That's why I'm gonna do mechatronic engineering. End up like some Darth Vader type thing...cool fact: you're going to die.
In this day and age, going outside can risk your own health.but what's really fun about it? i mean it can risk your own health.
This.for me personally
Drink: socialising, relaxing, sometimes it's just nice to have an awesome glass of wine with dinner.
Smoke: this, the short answer is i'm addicted, pretty simple really, why i started in the first place, to fit in/be "cool" and headspin is awesome.
Do drugs: There is just no way to describe in words how awesome some drugs make you feel, and on a personal note, doing them has brought me closer to my best friends, and given me some insight into my own life.
Lol. If you over-drink you just throw up.i won't say there is anything bad with drinking, its just over drinking that causes problems
Unless you are fucking drunk or high, do NOT mix politics or religion with drugs.people do these things coz life can be sometimes boring. Cheap thrills of the physical being are the thrills that make life FUN! dont you hate it how religions and really uptight societys put stigma on these things and make them "the devil"? Life is meant to be lived to the absolute fullest, not just a depressing 80 or 90 years that we work in a crap job and end up in a nappy in some nursing home, waiting for the "better" "eternal life" that comes after death. so many religions focus on death. christianity is based on the fact that mankind is shit, EVERYONE sins and once we die, there is a better life. Drinking, drugs and alcohol allow us cheap ways to get out of ourselves and forget society, religion, death or if our bodys are getting hurt by what we do. sure, all of these "cheap thrills" can fuck you up, mind and body, but seriously, only after you hectically abuse them. going out and having a fun night with friends at a club, having some drinks...or a few more than some... is different from having 6 beers a night while your watching "hey hey its saturday" repeats. the simple answer to why people do it is that IT IS FUN! it sounds stupid, but seriously, try it. you will change your attitudes completely. By posting this thread ur obviously judging people on what they do, but havnt tried it for yourself. Go get pissed, have a smoke, do some things you will regret, and you will be a much better person for it. i garuntee
You are born and then you die. You only live once so why not try things. If you enjoy drinking and discover that, because YOU have AIDS and you are going to die a slow and painful death, that you missed out your whole life on drinking, you are going to die with regrets.Better then slow and painful death.
Alternatively you might end up dead.Lol. If you over-drink you just throw up.
The implication of this post is either alcohol/tobacco and other drugs can only have negative outcomes or be used purely as social lubricants.Lets assume that these people are not doing it to look cool, fit in and because everyone else is doing it. Can you give me some positive outcomes people have experienced after taking illegal drugs of their own accord? (apart from a temporary high). The implication of this post is either alcohol/tobacco and other drugs can only have negative outcomes or be used purely as social lubricants.
Many positive things can come from drugs and alcohol use, it's idiotic and utterly incongruous with reality to dismiss them out of hand.
