everybodys saying that ranks are important sooo if u come 1st in ur internal exams does that mean ur set to get in the 90s in ur hsc from the other person therefore u dnt really need to try hard for the external cozz ur gna get someone else's mark anyway???????

If you do not try, you will get someone else's mark as your internal mark but you will keep you not-so-good external marks as your own external mark. Which contributes 50% to your HSC Mark.
