Windows Vista's anti-piracy movement? Confirm plz (1 Viewer)

I received this email from a friend (who is fairly informed with computers) and I wish to know how much of this is true. I didn't find anything on google search when I copy and pasted the first paragraph, thus this chain letter is fairly new.

Here's the contents:

Windows Vista, the ultimate operating system from Microsoft, has been
designed to be full of copy protection systems placed there by
companies like MPAA, RIAA or SGAE, suposedly to combat piracy. This
anticopying systems are integrated in the Windows Vista operating
system and it is very difficult to cancel or bypass them.

The worst of it all is that in many cases you will not be able to
play content even that you have legally purchased the contents
because the integrated DRM (Digital Rights Management system) will
not allow for instance to convert a song from your purchased CD or
DVD to an mp3 format, nor will you be able to play a cd or dvd of the
purchased cd or dvd so that you can listen to it in your car player.

Very often, you will not be able to view a film or listen to music
(legally purchased) unless your PC or whichever medium of play back
you use is authorized by Microsoft or the manufacturers of media
content. Any attempt to play the media will result in low quality or
will not play it at all.

The end result is that if you install Windows Vista or you purchase a
PC with Windows Vista installed in it you will not be able to play
videos nor listen to music downloaded from the internet. Microsoft
intends to implement its anticopying system gradually through
programs updates and expects to have Vista fully updated by the midle
of 2008.

The best solution to the above problems is to avoid installing
Windows Vista on your PC or reject purchasing a PC with Windows Vista
pre-installed. Continue using XP o consider installing a free
operating system like Linux.

Please PASS this around, it is posible that when Microsoft sees that
it is not selling Windows Vista as expected they will think it better
next time no to bow under the money incentives of the MPAA, RIAA or
SGAE. Microsoft is getting huge revenues from the above companies for
implementing copy right requirements in its operating system, that
was the very reason Windows Vista was delayed for by two years.

proper intelligent emails don't have such silly mistakes... besides there are always OTHER softwares that can allow more freedom.. and usually freeware too =.=

I didn't read any of that, but for something to even be rumoured to hve that much anti-piracy shit, it must suck.

Pirate it anyway.

Or use Linux.

I hate it when people send chain mails especially the ones where they make some sort of a threat if you dont do what they specify.

Basically none of that is true, I have been using Vista for nearly 5 months (Beta Tester) and have never come accross a time I have not been able to play something.
