Apparently it is ALL about red shoes, leopard prints and trenchcoats.

That's what I learn't from MYER's random runway in Pitt Street last thursday.

Some of the leopard print stuff looks really cool. I always thought it was kinda too loud.

The stuff is now popping up EVERYWHERE. You go to a shoe shop and its ALL RED or black.

Anyway discuss.

I think one piece of leopard print is much more stylish than a whole outfit. ie. wearing jeans and a leopard print top...or a red dress and leopard print shoes.

Red/black's been out for yonks. Though I love how it never gets old.

Obviously the dress/leggings/boots will be popular this winter. But I'm liking it. Looks cute.

Not a fan of ankle boots. But some girls really do pull it off exceptionally well.

i want trench coats to come back over suits for men.

with matching fedoras.

and violin cases full of money and/or guns.

hmmm... maybe too mafia-esque?

but still...

better than leopard print.

bleurgh.

animal prints for winter?

that's almost as revolutionary as florals for spring.

I have 6 (SIX!) pairs of red mary-janes.
For serious.
I think I have a problem.

I have a theory about leopard print and it goes like this...

Kate moss has this leopard print coat that she wears a couple of times a year, with various outfits. Whenever she pulls this particular item out of her closet, all of a sudden the magazines proclaim "LEOPARD PRINT IS SOOO IN RIGHT NOW."

never been a fan of leopard print :s probably never will be. won't be wearing it this winter lol.

but red shoes <3 <3  now my friend will have to stop laughing at me (she thinks my red flats are stupid, i think they're hawt).

oh and ankle boots are quite growing on me. i think it started when i tried on a pair and realised they actually looked good on me, goodness knows how.

I want a little pair of ankle boots, badly.

Like this:

They're from Mollini but they never have my size! Damn them for only having one 36 per store :(

I'm just happy because I have the most gorgeously warm Eddie Bauer thigh length trench that works fabulously in winter.

I do however, want a simple mini dress, not a babydoll, not in loud prints or colors, just a simple little black (preferably) mini.

Yeah well I want a BIBA shift but that's not going to happen (tulipa there's a saba mini shift in store atm, I think it's about $210 if that's not out of budget. Otherwise I think I saw another similar one in Country Road probably for a little less.)

I think I'll venture out into Pitt St and the stores at lunchtime during work this week and take a look.

Depends on how classic the saba one is.. I'm getting more into classic lines and I'm very prepared to pay for it if it's going to come back and back and back.

(ie trenches, black pants, a-line skirts etc).

I'm aching for some hot red heels. Not the plain simple red though, I want something a tad different. I saw tartan-like ones which were really cute, but I didn't outright love them to bits.

Myer is getting pretty shit when it comes to shoes. There was a secret sale ($25 discount for every $100) for women's shoes at Myer for MyerOne members. But they weren't that great.

I'm going to go find some in less corporate ginormous shops.

They're BEAUTIFUL!

The detail! The little black subtle frillness around the edge

But they look a little pink to me. If they were unmistakenably red, I wouldn't mind paying a ridiculous price.

You should come shopping with me next weekend. I'm getting paid ridiculous amounts for the election I stuff I did recently. Seriously.
