I have a consumer law essay due in a couple of weeks (25%). On the assessment sheet it says the word count should be 1000 words but I've gone over by about 200 words. Actually, not including footnotes the essay is exactly 198 words over...
Is this bad? If I sent it in as it is, do you think I'd get marked down?
The thing is, last year, one of my essays for legal studies was over by about 100 words and I got full marks (I don't know if my teachers didn't count or just didn't care) - but then, that was less than 10% over and was also preliminary...
Oh, and the question is: 'How well does statute and common law protect consumers?'
Any opinions would be really helpful - I'm not sure what to do
