How many words can you all fit in 40 minutes/have for a prepared essay?

Are you worried about it being to long? or just not being able to write it in time

Not being able to write it in time.

Length is never really the problem, but time is.

I'm not the fastest writer and i don't memorize essays, only quotes but i can still get 900-1050 words consistently for the 40 min essays so it's definitely possible.

I think writing about 800 words in the actual exam is fine, especially since you'll have to adapt the essay to the question (referring back to the question will add a few sentences).
it's always better to get 17/20 on each module instead of 20/20 on one and 11/20 on the others. either way keep practising to see if you can improve your speed if your goal is to write 1000 words.
