So what exactly is the structure of a feature article?

Nah they cap it at 15/20... if you write an excellent response despite the text type and question!!

Yes we wrote interviews, feature article and speech ... So i know what to do..

Btw i got 15/20 through prepared essay, I wrote a pretty good response (i was given 19/20 before trials)>.. I did not answer the question but it was an essay btw..

LOl but yeah i was given feedback saying i did not address question although it was written at a top level so capped at 15/20 .... apparently... I just memorised and yeah that's why....


it's not 차별 ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ.. We prepared alot for hsc and trials cos we know the unexpected would come out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.....

Btw since laplace is stingy with their time you know 40min per lesson, we had rush them... Dam laplace sooo 존나 expensive $70 per lesson =.=....

I'm pretty certain they won't ask for a feature article. Okay, they have asked for it in previous years, but it seems like BOS is moving away from it. For advanced, Module A would be an essay; Module B essay, possibly a speech; Module C - Essay, speech. My english teacher said that he's 95% sure that if they were going to give us a speech, it'd be for Module C. It makes sense just thinking about it, but I mean that's still not something to rely on, anything can happen.

I have a feeling, however, they're all going to be essays again. They might screw over next year's bunch as that would be the last year before they make changes to the syllabus, and maybe the extensive scope of three year's worth of work might actually be advantageous to next year's HSC students and so this might turn against them. I don't know, we could make assumptions for all we care, however theres a BIG "what if" at the end of the day. We shall find out in 9-10 days.

I heard from my HSC marker English coordinator that if you don't answer the question the "highest" you can get is 12/20 or 9/15. But if it's spectacular you can get up to 15/20, but theoretically they are told to cap it at 12/20 or 9/15.
This happened to me in the trials, I didn't make a close enough link with the question in ANY of my essays :'(
I got 9/15 (even though I mentioned the question a little), 20/20 for mod A (teacher just loves my essays for some reason), 16/20 for mod B because I knew my shit but I book-ended the response, and 13/20 for Mod C because the teacher was told to give me C range (12/20) by the acting senior marker but thought my knowledge was good so felt bad giving me less than a B.

how do you go about forming ur anecdote?

If it's Belonging, an anecdote I would talk about how you were on the train the other day, and saw a kid getting bullied. Then link it back to how belonging is entrenched in society etc etc whatever.

If it was Module A (Frankenstein); make it a societal critique, I dunno, the pokies tax, corporate big tobacco or something, and how government is trying to usurp individualism, or greed and commercialism over public interest etc etc
If Module B (Speeches): Talk about how you were inspired from Obama's speech.
If Module C: I'd be pretty fucked thinking of an anecdote.
