in an exam, will they ever give u just 'write a marketing plan for x business?'

like, and if they DO, do we just use those 5 headings in the syllabus as our main

headings (with the subheadings of course included in them eg SWOT, PLC etc?)

I doubt they will give us 'write a marketing plan for x business' because they have always given us a situation to base our marketing plan on. What they do is give us the financial state of the business and where they would like advice on and who the plan is being written for...i really doubt they would give us 'write a marketing plan for x business' (but you never know) And yeah you would use the 4 headings:
If you want stick an executive summary in at the beginning.

-->Situation Analysis including
-->SWOT
-->Product Life Cycle

-->Identifying Target Market
-->Developing marketing Strategies
-->Implementation, monitoring and controlling the marketing plan

And i think it would be hard to mark and be fair across the state because it would be so broad 'write a marketing plan for x business' don't you reckon. So i think to make it fair they set a scenario...i hope they don't ask us 'write a marketing plan for x business' cause there would be so much to write and you wouldn't know what to leave out or keep.
