i actually do try to read the backs of shampoo, moisturisers and makeup to identify the IUPAC compounds, esters, various pigments and "lakes" in my blush and lipstick.

um. and at a party i began rattling on about ethanol as a fuel (mind u, i had a fair bit of ethanol in me at the time)...

*hangs head in shame*

Having Cameron in my av is making me feel 103 times more intelligent. Look at her, she's just screaming "I'm full of brains!".
I'd love her to help me with my chemistry study ;)

-When you refuse to open your soft drink before it's cold because you know why it will go flat faster, and you randomly explain this concept and the reactions that take place to others when they're opening bottles of drink.

Evidently some of us who enjoy fizzy soft drinks do.
I do that! When I open a bottle of fizzy drink I always think of the carbon dioxide equilibrium. :)

Err..you didn't need The Acidic Environment to know that. It's common sense that when you shake a bottle of coke and open it, it will fizz more than usual. :)

Yeah, but the CO2 equilibrium and the factors affecting it aren't.
