I love the 60s and 70s equally....

voted 60s though.. it deserves more than 2votes :)

bob dylan's best music was from the 60s

yeah the 60's but its really only from 65 or so. music like hendrix, dylan, the beatles and cream. but the stuff from the early 60's (like early beatles stuff) was pretty awful.

Just going straight decades, I'd probably choose the 80s (Iron Maiden, Metallica and others) just ahead of the 70s
If I could choose any ten year period, I'd go 1975-1984, which covers
Led Zeppelin - Physical Graffiti, Presence, and their last three releases
Metallica - Kill 'Em All and Ride the Lightning
Iron Maiden - Iron Maiden through to Powerslave
Black Sabbath - Heaven and Hell and Mob Rules

2000s have been average imo.
