Out of curiosity, what's with UNSW and all those later hours? From experience, most of USYD's lectures and tutes are done by 5 but I hear many of my New South acquaintances staying till late.

Depends on the number of students and the availability of the staff at what time. UNSW has a lot of students too. Most of the time we cram our timetables in order to get more days off. Eg. 8-8 on Mondays and Tuesdays gets Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays off. I know for UWS the latest a day student can finish is six (because the hours after that is meant for PT students) and for UTS I've seen it go to nine.

most classes at UNSW are between 9-6, very few people have classes after that

What's your longest hours that you have done without breaks ?
What's the longest hours that you recommend ?

9-5. it wasn't nearly as difficult or tiresome as people made it out to be, and hunger isn't really an issue for me- I just eat during the lectures or on my way to the next class, but I'm often too distracted to feel hungry anyway.

Some UNSW subjects have later classes for people for work.
I had a 6-8 (tute) class coz the other times clashed.

This last semester I had 8am to 6pm no breaks on Mondays.

I ended up skipping Mondays.
