that is so awesome, im thinking of getting a gaming pc, xps most likely, sometime in the near future, but i wanna ps3 as well, i need god of war 3, but all good shooters come out for pc, grr hard decision! Hopefully i'll be rich enough to get both.

EDIT: how'd u get for that price? it looks slightly cheaper than it should be. Which desktop? Area 51? As soon as i put ur cpu into the area 51, price goes up to over $6000.

Did you build that yourself? if so how come the alienware? do u just like the look or something?

4gb of DDR3 is pretty hardcore.

I am surprised you got a bluray anything seen as theres no real use for them just yet. was that future proofing or what? i would have just saved my money, bought one when i needed it for half the price and stuck it in myself.

y sound card? the onboard on that motherboard is phenominal.

what kind of gains are u seeing from the PPU? i havent seen people using them and iam curious.

i woulda gone with the g15 and g9 combo, but hey good choice with peripherals. nice speakers too, ive heard good things from them [haha]

have you done any overclocks yet? i suppose you dont really need it lol but with liquid cooling its something to look into when the next batch of games come out. Especially with that CPU and RAM, theres alot of potential.

That is because i used alienware get me the specs, then the majority of parts i buy from independent shops and try and get discounts :p saves so much money
you then build it yourself!

i did build it myself and alienware had the most convenient case, it it so easy to upgrade, downgrade, fix etc as well as they were really helpful in me getting together an over the top computer ( hehe they thorugh i would buy it all from them but they are way to over priced)

Blueray was my mum's idea, i did not pay for that... i had enough room to have it so decided for it. She is a huge DVD collector and was like
"blah blah blah, HD lost to blueray, soon it will all be blueray, i hate this stupid market, i don't want you to ave to spend all your money again..."
so yeah a bit of future proofing! :p

the sounds card... hahha i forgot to say that was built in :p youa re right it is a sweet sound card! i did not have enough slots for one anyway hahahaha but i still would not of gotten one. on sound... I LOVE THE SPEAKERS!!!! the sub is sometimes a bit annoying if you use ful volume and full output but who really does that?
hahahaha if i had more money the Z-5500 would be the way to go... but alas, i spent it all on making the computer ridiculously powerful.

the G15! hahahaha my friend has that... i wanted to be different... it is prutty, and i have a broken G11...
the mouse was just to annoy my cousin... he plays BF2 but in switzerland so (if i dont get kciked from severes) my ping so incredibly high and the fast i can move and shoot the more likley i can get the bastard :p

Over clocking.... am a bit iffy on doing that, a mate of mine is trying to make me do it... but at the moment i rather not risk screwing things over!

i reckon its not worth spending over 2 grand on a pc. If you buy the extreme CPU's, DDR3 RAM and the best GFX cards, you will find you've wasted alot of money. They either get outdated in 6 months, or become a quarter of the price. thats my two cents. :D
