guten tag to all u yr 11 german doers ou there.
i was just wonderin, which textbook does yur school use.
we're usin the feuerwerk book 3 at our school but it was actually published in victoria for the vce and therefore might not satisfy the nsw course as well as it should.
so i was thinking i might go and buy another textbook from dymocks myself, but i cant decide which ones are good. there is one called sowieso that looked good but i just want some idea of wat textbooks other schools use.

HBK_9 you annoying prat i hate you so much
when i was in yr 11 we used sag mal (excellent for revision etc. but you need to know your stuff already, there are few english translations) and deutsch direkt. If your teacher is good any decent text book written for hsc or equivalent (ie. the VCE) should be fine, although our teacher encouraged outside learning as well - for example
* start watching inspector rex on sbs
* listen to german music such as rammstein, megaherz, etc.
* go to german sessions in your town hall or whatever

Come talk to everyone and post over at the German threads. Doesn't matter if you're prelim, god knows not enough people post there.

Anyway, I never had any textbook (did it through OHS using their modules) and I got=2/51 which I was well chuffed about, considering I'm not a native speaker. I never did much "revision", except for looking up some grammar stuff online and listening to a shitload of German music (go see our music thread) which helped a lot.
