Hi, im in year 10 and i have to make my subject selections for year 11. I would like to study law at uni when i finish school and i was wondering if these subjects are good choices.
- Advanced + extension english (Do i do 13 units?)
- society and culture.
- math
- History
- legal
-Business
Im currently in the top class for all my subjects in year 10, but really unsure what level math i should take, and whether i should do ancient or modern history???

If you're good at maths do Extension 1 as it will help you do 2 unit and it scales pretty good. Plus if you start on it you can allways drop if you want to. So I'd say do 14 units. Prelim ranks don't matter as much, it's more so setting yourself up for the HSC year!
Good Luck

Modern history is apparently more interesting then ancient , but you should see what case studies people in yr 12 are doing at your school

I've chosen to do the following subjects for my preliminary and HSC years:

Advanced English
English Extension (1 for Prelim, 2 for HSC)
Advance Maths (1 for Prelim, no extension or extension 2 for HSC year, depending on results)
Studies of Religion 2
Music 2
Biology

I know that Maths extension, music 2, and SOR 2 scale quite well - although thats note why I'm doing them.

What are some tips for getting an atar above 90? (Preferable a 99.7 + atar)
