Example i am doing physics and chem next year and i want to like get introduced to the topic. Could i get tutored this(In the Xmas holidays before start of skool/yr11) so it can b abit easier to start next year?

i think it depends on you... i would never do it because i'll just feel like i'll be learning the same thing twice and its just a waste of my time

but i know people who get tutored and they say it helps so maybe you should figure out how you learn best.

Yeah you can. And if they don't offer year 10 to learn chemistry and stuff like that, you can always say you ARE in year 11. Some people I know do that to learn wwaaaay ahead.

You don't even need a tutor...the topics are deadset easy, just get a textbook for each and you're set.

Yeh, what you say is true, but really only to a certain extent. Having a tutor complements for what you learn in your textbooks, hence, helping your understanding of the topics further. Moreover, having a tutor means that you can ask certain questions that cannot be answered from the textbook information alone.

some tutoring colleges offer tutoring in the summer holidays before school starts, so yes, you can definitely get some tutoring if you're interested in it.

you should probably consider that during the start of yr 12 instead :)

Lol at my tutor, they had this holiday thing, where they do 4 hours of indepth learning for one topic. No thanks.

According to some advice, I'm just going to buy a textbook for each subject in year 11 and a couple for each subject in year 12.

Don't get year 12 textbooks...Pointless now. why?
1) They might be outdated by the time you're in year 12
2) The school might already give them out
3) No point really =]

The textbooks cost money so mite aswell go tutor. When im in yr 11/12 il do a mix of buying books and attending tutor classes.

I'm going to see what textbooks my school actually provides before I buy them. Tutors also cost money as well and you often have to buy certain textbooks for it as well.
