Median, taken into more consideration but still I don't think its median as mode when taken into account, seems more accurate.
:O ALMOST AT THE 400 mark.
how can this be true if the bands are awarded as
90 - 100 - band 6
80 - 90 - band 5
70 - 80 - band 4
60 - 70 - band 3
50 - 60 - band 2
0 - 49 - band 1
Not too sure if guys are still interested, but the last question (finding the general expression for n) was:
[FONT=굴림]1/4 n^4 + 1/2 n^3 + 1/4 n^2[/FONT]
If you guys were able to see that the pattern was a quartic, you may have been able to solve it by simulataneously solving it!
But I'm starting to think from this discussion that I didn't need to go through with all that labour!!!!!

according to that. for example if my raw mark is 73% i would get 86.5 % .
how is this possible. that is pretty much goin from a low band 4 to a high band 5?????
it just sounds to easy
for example if u get 60% divided by 2 = 30 + 50 = 80 %
so practically band 3 to band 5
doesnt it sound to easy for anyone??
and is this how they do align the marks?? and r u sure ?? or is it just wat u think??
also want to say if u get 20/25 , 43/55 , 16/20
this equals 79/100
doesnt that mean u get 79% = band 4??
school certificate marks do not get aligned in any way.
a teacher who has marked school certificate has told me this.
My science teacher and CEM have said that they do get aligned because they want to make the state look good and because of the varying degrees of difficulty between the exams in past years.
wats CEM ??
