It was amazing, truly the most incredible moment so far this sem. For one of my subjects we have to work in couples. Yes, the syllabus outline says COUPLES, not pairs, not groups, COUPLES hahahahahahahaha. When we were discussing the syllabus in class, at this point a girl put up her hand and said she didn't want to work with anyone else and could she do it on her own? Lecturer pointed at everyone else and said something like 'What's wrong with them? They look like nice people.' She gave us all a look of absolute disdain and said 'They all look like students.' And you could just feel the rest of the class shift away from her (and I mean seriously, of course we're students, that's why we're at uni, duh). 2 hours later, lecturer asks if anyone has any questions and same girl puts up her hand again and reiterates that she really doesn't want to go groupwork. Lecturer says something along the lines of 'If you had come to me in private and raised this, we could've worked something out, but because you've gone about it like this, I'm going to make you work with someone else' and you can almost see the rest of the class shake their head. Not a good move there.
