Haven't played competitively for about 2 years but yeah, I've played Yugioh.
Only TCG I've really played. Vanguard seems to be getting popular.
Australia had its first YCS in Sydney - a mate of mine went to it (I think he won 5 rounds but that's not enough to get into the top 32 elimination rounds).
I have a Dark World deck and a Machina Town hybrid deck (runs the Machina Engine along with the AGGDs + Geartown + Magical Hats core) in real life. My decks are pretty outdated and my extra deck has mainly synchros and barely any xyz monsters. I also play Dueling Network at times.
I've been looking to get back into it but it just drains your money so much to play competitively
In Sydney, there's a place called Good Games http://www.goodgames.com.au/stores/nsw.html where you can play TCGs such as Magic, Pokemon and Yugioh competitively (i.e. tournaments). It's available in Burwood, Hurstville, Central and other places.
Depends.
Sometimes, a deck can cost up to $1000 through the ages (especially the Tier 1/meta decks) including the Extra Deck (since the introduction of strong Synchro and xyz monsters). But recent reprints have caused prices to fall down for many of the good cards such as Tour Guide (at its peak, a playset of tour guides was around $450 so $150 each). An extra deck can cost like... $100-300 nowdays.
