dw we all have those days..UPDATE 06/05/15
Hey guys, today has not been a good day at all, in any way whatsoever. I got my Mod A mark which was 16/20 which i was a bit disappointed about because i was really hoping a 17 but oh well what to do, as long as I have possibly moved my rank up. Sorry to say that today will have nothing as I have been going health issues that I had to spend most of my day at the doctors and I might take a day or two off to process it all.
I know its HSC and I should be studying but hearing bad news is just very demotivating, hopefully I can recover from that soon.
Just trying to give all the subjects equal attention I suppose ahah, hope your studies are going well tooAnything you are finding challenging these days Simmy?
Doing alright now, probably my worst subject, I am terrible at projecting my thoughts in the essayshow are you going with legal studies?

what subjects? That is the biggest load of bullshit I've seen.
Don't believe what your teachers say - it's a total lie, you know your strengths and weaknesses personally and they don't (well maybe they do but not in your perspective lol). If you wanted to spend time on all subjects, then that would equate to 6-8 hrs a day which is ridiculous.
For me, I do maffs everyday (obviously haha), revise my eco notes consistently + do a few practice essays if I find the time, and chem every second day. For english, it's pretty much refining your generic essays and practicing the adapting of your intros and topic sentences; doesn't take that long tbh. As for my other subs, modern I just rote learn my notes and wing the exam through sustaining a strong personal voice in my essay. Bio is just regurgitating the content so I essentially cram that a week or two before the exam (there's so much content holycrapballs).
What I found was that you can leave the content based subjects that relied on memory till later on, whereas subjects that required consistency for the concepts to be embedded inside your brain had to be done way in advance. Even for english, you need to develop an astute grasp of the texts - you can't really cram quotes (unless you're a genius at writing). I don't even do the h/w allocated (cept maffs ofc) unless it was important (which most of the time wasn't the case).
tl;dr it's your HSC, you will find that some things need to be prioritised in order to boost your assessments or study. Frankly, the determinant to one's ATAR result isn't necessarily the teachers - it's you as a student. Trust me when I say this: the HSC isn't a matter of intelligence, moreso diligence and playing smart (<-- this is where time management comes into the fore).
Good luck.
what subjects are you doing?for what part of my post, exactly?
I agree.Stop Derailing Simmyyy's thread.
