if a piece of analysis in an English essay for 1984 is factually wrong (apart from the technique) do u think the marker will notice

like if the effect the quote has is wrong but the analysis is right do u think that is an issue

i think if you explain your point well enough, you can make any quote have any effect, just make it appear to the marker that you know your shit and it is in fact correct

could you explain why cause my teachers keep saying that you can get scaled down if you dont hit the breakeven point
it is genuinely just straight up 100% not a thing. some random tutoring centre made it up and it’s spread a ton but there’s no basis nor any sense in it as a concept. just ignore all of it, the better you do in your exams the better your marks and ATAR will be

the way scaling actually works is that UAC forms a model for scaling based on the subject’s entire state cohort in english (and I believe the lower versions of the subject like maths ext 2 -> maths ext 1 where applicable) and then uses this model to convert your raw mark to a scaled mark. that’s it

how am i supposed to memorise like 6 essays in 4 days omg
write them out 1 mill times, record them and listen to them while you exercise, do day to day stuff and sleep (if you think you could do that one) writing stuff out over and over is like the best way to memorise stuff

compressed curriculum hsc delivery :) here's what nesa says because they're better an explaining it than me lol

"In a compressed delivery model, students complete the Preliminary and HSC courses for a subject within one year before doing their HSC exams."

"Where all courses are compressed, students typically do three subjects in Year 11 and another three subjects in Year 12. They sit HSC exams at the end of Years 11 and 12 for the subjects studied in those years."

so basically last year i did both the prelim and hsc courses for eng adv, modern, and maths standard 2 and did the hsc exams for them. and this year i did the same for ext eng, cafs, and investigating science (i also did ancient in prelim, but i dropped it, not sorry)

I feel like i should feel more scared but i genuinely dont, i just feel like im doing prelims or trials. Its so weird. Anyone else?
