how am i supposed to memorise like 6 essays in 4 days omg
write them out 1 mill times, record them and listen to them while you exercise, do day to day stuff and sleep (if you think you could do that one) writing stuff out over and over is like the best way to memorise stuff

compressed curriculum hsc delivery :) here's what nesa says because they're better an explaining it than me lol

"In a compressed delivery model, students complete the Preliminary and HSC courses for a subject within one year before doing their HSC exams."

"Where all courses are compressed, students typically do three subjects in Year 11 and another three subjects in Year 12. They sit HSC exams at the end of Years 11 and 12 for the subjects studied in those years."

so basically last year i did both the prelim and hsc courses for eng adv, modern, and maths standard 2 and did the hsc exams for them. and this year i did the same for ext eng, cafs, and investigating science (i also did ancient in prelim, but i dropped it, not sorry)

I feel like i should feel more scared but i genuinely dont, i just feel like im doing prelims or trials. Its so weird. Anyone else?

I feel like it’s good tho like if ur overly stressed it can impact ur performance. I’m nervous but like you know u can get it done.

okay time for me to yap lol

see i feel like what is better totally depends on what time in the school year it is - in the leadup to exams like trials and ofc now, it is far nicer to be able to only need to study 3 subjects instead of 5/6. i also feel way more confident in my exams now because i’ve already done half of them and i have a good idea of what to expect

during the school term though my thoughts are mixed. ofc i never experienced the mainstream way of getting the hsc so i have no idea what that’s like, but everything needing to be done at 2x speed can be really stressful. some of my classes have been astronomically behind and we’ve needed to skip through content to catch up again, because days off and lessons where nothing gets done adds up at double speed. 1 day off in compressed curriculum is 2 days off mainstream, that builds quickly and it can get super overwhelming.

end of the day i think even if i had the opportunity to do mainstream i would have chosen to do compressed anyways. it’s meant i haven’t been able to do any subjects with a major work because time constraints (i’m still sad about ext eng 2) but i consider that a fair trade. i’m very grateful right now to have done it, because it’s allowing me to really hone in on just 3 subjects as opposed to having to try and study like 5/6. i do not have good enough time management for that
