    Calculations in Short Response

FUCK! Just checked it, for 3.1M of citric acid you would need over 500g of it to be dissolved. Damn it. I guess thats one mark gone for a calculation error somewhere.

How much info do we need for Goddard and his contribution to space exploration?9.2.2

Because I have quite a lot at the moment, don't know if I need to memorise all of it

    Calculations in Short Response

Weren't you supposed to calculate the citric acid concentration in the original undiluted cordial sample (or whatever it was)? I got 0.31M for the diluted and then since it was diluted by a factor of 10 (making 50mL to 500mL then taking a 25mL sample or whatever) I multiplied it by 10 to get the...

    esimate your mark?

It'll depend on my multiple choice mark but around 85 raw.

    General Thoughts: Chemistry

What did people get for the citric acid question? Taking it being triprotic into account I divided moles by 3, worked out concentration and then since it was diluted to 10% for the titration I multiplied the concentration by 10, and I got 3.1 mol/L or something. It seemed a little high but...

    General Thoughts: Chemistry

I thought it was pretty easy. I managed to answer everything well except for the 7 marker shipwrecks question. I completely forgot those sulfate reducing bacteria equations, spent like 7 minutes trying to work them out (I knew HS- was a product for one of them) but I gave up and just wrote the...

    question...

Yeah this (minus comical). You just think through it logically. Conical flask is distilled water, and the burette and pipette you clean with whatever it is you're putting into it.

Drawing up a Table instead of writing it out -CHEM

Wait, isn't the point of a comparison table that you don't have to use those words? You have 2 columns for the things you're comparing with a small one on the left saying what you are comparing, and then you list the contrasting/similar features/effects/points side by side. And maybe a judgement...

Does this happen to anyone else using the Excel Success One HSC Paper Book?

Their calculations wrong? Well I've never gotten that (I only really check the final answers for calculations anyway), at least I hope I haven't haha Here's an example of their stupidity, 2006 paper Q23(b)(ii): And that is exactly what the book did.

Does this happen to anyone else using the Excel Success One HSC Paper Book?

-Read question -Give a really good answer -Check answers in textbook -Sees that they're completely different (ala: You're wrong) -Checks official HSC marking guidlines/notes -Realises that your answer was right all along, and the best possible response This makes me so freaking ANGRY :mad3...

    Chemistry predictions

Legend. Thank you! And if what you guys are saying about it being a skills based test is true, then oh my god I am going to dominate this exam, calculations are what I'm best at
  12. CombustionManX

    Chemistry predictions

Seconded. I don't think I'd do too well with a biopolymer question
  13. CombustionManX

Whats the raw mark for b6 in chem (2011)

Wow, Seriously?! That makes me feel a whole lot better, I'm able to get that with zero study, but I'm going to put in the effort for an 85-90+ since I'm not too certain on whether I'll be getting the 91 atar I need for UNSW engineering

Is Ammonium a strong or weak acid and is Ammonia it's strong or weak conjugate base?

It's so hard to get a straight answer to this question!:vcross: All over the internet some say ammonium is weak and ammonia is strong, the excel past hsc exam book says that ammonium is strong and ammonia is weak, and some people say both are weak. I don't know what to think anymore. Help!

    General Thoughts: Economics

For exchange rates I balanced the appreciations associated with the resources boom and the GFC recovery with the GFC and volatility due to the US Debt Ceiling Debacle (that's what I called it) and the European Debt Crisis.

Sections III, IV - Extended Response

Same here. I did keep running out of things to write about for the fiscal policy essay though haha, but I managed a solid 6 pages with the hour I had on it. That's the best thing about Economics exams - They give you so much TIME
  17. CombustionManX

    General Thoughts: Economics

I'm just hoping for 1 mark with my answer haha, and yeah your answer sounds right.
  18. CombustionManX

    General Thoughts: Economics

That was SO easy, and I only studied for like a day! Best Economics test ever. Multiple choice was a bitch though. And what did everyone do for the labour market policy/structural unemployment question? That was the only one I couldn't get. I BSed about WorkChoices and unfair dismissal laws, I...

    Erm... estimate your mark ...

Maybe 73, 74 if I'm lucky. Nothing higher than that though

    General Thoughts: Mathematics Extension 1

Did it again, yes that is what I actually got. dv/dt= -10pi(l^2) when l=2, dv/dt= -40pi Sent from my Nexus S using Tapatalk
