    Usyd vs UNSW law

Both are great. THE and QS both rank UNSW slightly higher, but they're both Go8 so in Australia its basically the same. I'd pick USYD just for the lack of trimesters.

Commerce or economics for investment banking

From my experience both UNSW and USYD law are both filled with the same breed of selective school npcs. The cohorts are identical. Times Higher Education also ranks UNSW higher for Law and those are the only two rankings that people cite for aussie unis because US News doesnt really have a grasp...

Commerce or economics for investment banking

IB is not anything to do with mathematics.

    Help for external transfer

ANU Law is a great program. If the end goal has to be UNSW, its probably best to do a different UNSW course and IPT in, or if you really want to do law subjects right now, go to macquarie over ANU instead. From my experience, as soon as you start at a university, its going to be a significant...

Commerce or economics for investment banking

Commerce tends to be better than economics for IB. Actuary has nothing to do with investment banking - Commerce/Law is the most common IB double, but I've heard of some Comm/CS or Comm/Eng people getting in.

Who says law is better at usyd? Heard this a fair bit but QS rankings disagrees

Could I enter this course with my ATAR?

I mean you could, but either way you're doing 4 years, its just that you'll graduate with one degree instead of 2 and you'll have a very odd 4th year doing like 4 courses across the year. With how tiny and competitive the actuary job market is in Australia, having a commerce/math/computer...

    school legacy gift

our cohort paid for a ping pong table

Could I enter this course with my ATAR?

If you do choose to pursue Actuarial Studies, which again I really don't recommend, make sure to double with either Commerce or Comp Sci. You need a longer degree than single Actuary in order to fit in the required exemption courses to take advantage of all the actuary licensing without having...

Could I enter this course with my ATAR?

95 in standard maths is not the kind of mark you want going into an actuary degree. For context, the first maths course you take in actuary is MATH1151, which is considered a child's play easy course compared to the later courses. In the description of MATH1151 on the course handbook, it says...

Job Offer @ Art of Smart

Art of Smart is complete rubbish for so many reasons: 1. It adds bureaucratic rubbish to tutoring - they want you to use scripts when calling parents and manage an online timetable and all this other rubbish 2. You get paid half as much as you would if you tutored on your own despite charging...

Could I enter this course with my ATAR?

    not the right fit.

    results services + unsw question

lowest selection rank is the requirement. you get in if you had higher than that.

Could I enter this course with my ATAR?

If you did standard maths, I would really advise you to not pursue an Actuary degree. It is essentially a maths degree and even some of the kids who did 4u and got e4s often struggle with it. Commerce is chill though.

ngo & sons or something else?

Heyo! Any tutoring centre you hear mentioned is going to be targeted mainly at selective school/elite private school students, as that's were the money is at in the class tutoring business. I went to one free thing at ngo and it was great and I know a few students from my public school went...

One in five students from private schools now apply for HSC disability provisions

LMAO, applying for fraudulent disability provisions at elite privates, a tale as old as time.Reminds me of the abbotsleigh girl who had a meltdown all the way to a board of studies tribunal because she wasn't allowed to do her exam on a computer because she suffered from wrist cramps and only...

    UNSW Electrical Engineering Question

Uni is less workload, even if you're going after HD WAM. For any person interested in EE, I can tell you that DESN1000 is enough reason to avoid taking any engineering degree. Currently contemplating a IPT to Actuarial Studies as a result of how suboptimal the course is.

    UNSW Electrical Engineering Question

Yes. its 90 LSR, which means any person who gets at least 90 with atar and bonus points added gets in. UNSW has infinite places.

    Predictions for Modern?

then next year there will have to be surely (I got that prediction wrong in my year too lol)

    UNSW Electrical Engineering Question

💀 the only required Physics courses at UNSW for EE are PHYS1121 and PHYS1231 which are entirely rote learn LMAO
