As others have said, don't choose your subjects based on scaling. Just choose the subjects you're good at and you enjoy. As for English, definitely do advanced. It aligns much better than standard and you'll have the option of dropping down if you really want to.

Not really school related, but I just passed my driving test with 99%! Definitely a good start to the holidays :D

I do Earth & Enviro and it's not particularly hard, in fact I found it surprisingly enjoyable. I would definitely advise you to only pick it if you are genuinely interested in it though, I know a couple people in my class with zero interest in it and find it an absolute bore and really struggle...

Try 2U and see how you go. If you find it too difficult, you can always drop down to General. As for Business Studies or Economics, I suggest you have a read of each syllabus to give you an idea of what's involved. It's also a good idea to talk to teachers for more information. Good luck :)

I got my Ancient History exam mark back today and I got 29/30! I'm so happy, I got the top mark! :D
