The actual school ranking doesn't matter so much, as that changes every year. But in a school ranked top 10, the standard of students would be significantly higher than at a lower ranked school. Its actually beneficial to be in a good cohort, because of the way internal marks are moderated...

The only way they could fairly separate the two of you is to change the weighting of assessments or something like that right? And are you actually exactly the same, or have you lost marks in different things? Because if they look at very minute decimal points, they should be able to separate...

dude... And yeah, CSSA ext1 wasn't very hard, even i got 80 for it, including silly mistakes and i'm like average at my school... Everyone else did it as practice in exam conditions.

Sorry, I kinda interpreted it as meaning more like 'issues' or 'themes', like a very general, broad concept. Beecause within a class you'll find that most people would study the same themes/issues but use different examples, and branch into specific theses, to create very different essays.

This wouldn't be plagiarism if you're using totally different quotes and examples. But if you read her essay, you would probably tend to end up using her examples anyway.
