If yoou did well in trials and they were worth a lot, then that's good for you, might push your rank up. And your schoool is top 5, do you know how many normallly get band 6? Otherwise, its all about rankings...but maybe iff you do really well in the hsc you can still pull off a low band 6. Or...

Science doesn't work like this though. If its a 5 mark question and you have 5 points, you won't get any more than 2-3 marks. At least with our school's screwed up marking schemes.

You know its true. Business studies>pe though. At least you coulld be beating a person whose name begins with a and ends with a. And I'm pretty sure low scaling subjectts are irreleevant for people aiming for 80s-low 90s.

Its an economics thread you idiot. And I don't do eco, I do business studies, but by the same principle, generally a 5 mark question willl be 'explain' or 'analyse' so you generally only need to name 2-3 points (from the syllabus) and that will get you 2-3 marks and then the other marks are for...

I think those atar calculator things floating around the internet can give you scaled marks if you put in raw hsc marks. Otherwise google 'uac scaling guide 2010'
