    Question about "Studying Math"

Past papers are usually the way to go but I never went about that way until the trials or at least when we had finished calculus or most of it since half the huge textbooks of past papers aren't needed yet and it's pointless searching for a few hard questions. I would go with the Fitzpatrick...

    school ranks affecting atar

That's true but your analysis was hypothetical. You just can't possibly go from being ranked 500th to 5th.

    please atar estimate

Agree with others, you are sitting on a 90+ but if you improve biology and english, especially if english is adv then you ATAR will improve immensely.

    extra curricular

Things like sports, charity organisations through the school as well as Duke of Ed are highly regarded.

    school ranks affecting atar

To answer your question, your school rank effects your ATAR slightly because how well your school is ranked depends largely on your cohort and how well each cohort does in a particular subject. If you all do good, you all get scaled up together but if the ranks and marks are all over the place...

    school ranks affecting atar

5 and 500 is a huge gap. But in a top 5 school you would be in a selective school so if you were ranked 5th internally, you would get 98-99 ATAR but if you were a 500 school you might be anywhere between 88-94.

what to do during free periods.

Usually I plan what I do beforehand, like the night before. It could be notes for subjects, reading for topics, maths work or assignments.

    Do Markers keep Creative Writing?

I don't think so. Not without the student's permission at least since it's intellectual property lol.

Biology major in B Sc vs. B Med Sc?

If you go on the uni website you can check our the course handbook of each course and it would give you an idea of what you learn and how it is different. I think they most encompass human anatomy and physiology.

    ATARs and Illness

I don't have OCD but your comment was really insensitive to those who have it. You can't understand a mental illness if you have not ever had one yet. It can lead onto other things that affect your concentration and general work environment, like anxiety.

What is the difference between universities, specicaly UNSW and USYD

Is this really true? I keep hearing it too and it's starting to get to me.

    ATARs and Illness

You can still apply for EAS but it is too late for illness and misadventure because it's due on the last day of exams.

    Atar too low?

Do all institutions tell you if you are eligible because I heard some don't :$

    Atar too low?

Just take a similar degree with the same units preferably one that entails a similar aspect and transfer at the end of the first year or first semester if you can.

I know they give you your HSC marks, but what are they? Are they the raw or moderated or aligned? I still don't know the difference between moderated or aligned lol.

What does it mean by 50/50 external and internal marks?

All your assessment tasks have weightings so if a task is weighted 10%, half of that would be 5%, meaning that it would contribute to 5% of your internal marks and at the end of term 3, you school will calculate this and send it off to the BOS.
  19. T

Is this a good combination of subjects?

It is a good combination if you enjoy the subjects.

    USYD or UWS.

So I either want to go Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy and as long as I get my qualifications I don't really care what university I graduate from. However a lot of people I have spoken to don't think UWS is a good idea and that doing a Health Science degree in USYD is better than...
