I think they just give you your assessment mark as your exam mark. Unless your exam mark is higher than your assessment mark, in which case they just use that too. I was sick during 2 of mine exams. Hoping my misadventure goes through. Does anyone know how they determine whether to accept it...

In yr 10 I went in this mini firetruck thingy. It was cute. This year Im going in a 1924 Ford Sedan. It belongs to one of my friends friends or something. I know nothing about cars but it sounds cool lol Our school is transporting us from the formal venue to the afterparty too.

So how do they determine whether it gets accepted on not? I was sick during chem and modern (had a really bad throat infection and i really do think it affected my performance!) and i put in a illness/misadventure thing. Is it likely to go through?

Yeah, they basically do everything in their power to ensure they can read it. One of my HSC marker teachers said that if its really illegible, they give it to a special marker to type it up and then they give the typed version back to the marker to mark.

Technically they do both. Had a huge argument with my bio teacher about it. Turns out I was right :D But generally they increase the rate of reaction.

Quick question, Ive heard if you run out of room, or make a mistake and want to answer the question again etc, than you can use a writing booklet. How do you connect this to the question? Do you just give it to them with the rest of it and it will end up in the right place?

I did love (father and child), fear and hope (the violets). I only left 35 minutes to answer it cos i was stuck on the BNW/BR question. Didnt get to write as much as i would have liked. Still thought the question sucked. Was waaaaay too specific. It could have been worse though.

Read the notes from the marking centre from last yr. It explains pretty clearly that you should not rely much on the readings and critical interpretations. Im too lazy to post the link...

That sucks. Like mufit said, get a doctors certificate for tommorow (either today or after the exam tommorow) and apply for a misadventure. Hope you get better soon!

Your own interpretation of the text should be primary. Any readings and critics interpretations etc should be secondary and used to support your own analysis. Your essay should not be based on the readings.

Im glad I wasnt the only one who thought that was hard. I agree that it was more conceptually driven. I was expecting technique based questions so it threw me off completely! Lets hope paper 2 is a bit less...crap
