    Med Science or Science?

In any medical sciences you will need to do at least 1 maths subject and two chemistry subject. I didn't have to do Physics. but yes, I wasn't a fan of chem and maths either, but I got through them!

    Med Science or Science?

Don't believe a word of it :D I got a HD in BIOS1201 (which is going to be re-named BABS1201), and only a DN for BIOS1101. BIOS1101 is nothing like the HSC. It's 10 times harder (and 100 times more boring). So get the exemption and do a second year BIOS subject!

Class MHC I & II and the like.

No you don't need to know about IgA or IgM (or IgD, IgG, IgE). You just need to know they are different classes of antibodies, secreted by activated B cells or plasma cells. Some of them maybe neutralising antibodies, which bind and neutralise antigens, such as toxins. Some antibodies are...

ppl who did forensics or doing it now..HELP!

Maybe start by defining what are analytical techniques? Give examples and start from there. The uses of DNA analysis include identification of an individuals etc. And ethical issues, well that's just talking about privacy about what to do with a person's genetic sequences. I'm sure most of...

    Med Science or Science?

I agree with Rekkusu. Research is not for everyone. If you have your mind set on Medicine, do Science just because of the flexibility and the increased chance of getting a higher mark in subjects you WANT to do (you can get a better average to get into med). And MedSc is not "more fun". It is...

Anyone knows how 2 get high marks in essay writing?

Try to write a response (in your spare time) to a few of the past HSC questions, and given them to your teacher to mark them and ask for feedback. It will help.

    Med Science or Science?

Just do science. You get more choices. Med Sc is not a pre-med course. It is for people for wants to get into research.

Class MHC I & II and the like.

OMG.. You don't need to know them... They are probably too difficult to understand for year 12 Biology. I didn't even know what they do in Year 12 Biology. But in case you're interested and in very simple terms, MHC Class I and II are important surface molecules that help to "present" foreign...

    Aids/hiv

That's good. "Thus eventually upon destroying enough CD4+ T lymphocytes, the person's immune system will be so weak that AIDS will be diagnosed." CD4+ T cells are responsible for the coordination of the immune system, which is why they are also referred to as "Helper T cells". Instead of...

    Aids/hiv

When you prepare for dot points like that one, you have to make sure that you have enough information to score you 8 marks in the exam for an 8-mark question. It looks good at the moment but yes you just need a section on the host response. Picking HIV/AIDS to do is not neccessarily a bad...

    Aids/hiv

Yes, like Kami have said, HIV is a virus and AIDS is the name of the disease. You need to refer to both. I think most of the other parts are relatively easy to find info. For the host reponse, you need to mention there is an initial increase of the viral load, accompanied by the decrease in...
