    Science and Philosophy

If you like philosophy, maybe you could consider HPS - History and Philosophy of Science. It would be more relevant to your science degree.

Advanced Science [U NSW or U Sydney?]

that's up to individual opinions of course. Loneshadow, try to look around the School of Physics website from both uni and see what kinds of subjects they offer. For UNSW: www.phys.unsw.edu.au For USyd: www.physics.usyd.edu.au

    B Med Sci v B Sci (Adv)

I mean most science degrees lead to a career in research. Think biotechnology, marine science, environmental science, nanotechnology. I believe you can do most or all of the units in med sci by doing Adv science, but too sure though because I'm not at USyd. But in UNSW, you can (except 2...

    That Anthony Ca...co...thing song.

Have you walked into a store with heaps and heaps and heaps of Delta Goodrem's album that has not been sold?? omg.... Apparently wholesales for Delta's album is like 5 times platinum, and realistically, it has only sold like 1.5 platinum. So Aria is not an accurate reflection of what the...

    Letters about the PIP

The marks you've received on friday are aligned marks, not raw marks. Scaled marks are used for UAI purposes, which is a different story. Techically no. The marks you received are, as I have mentioned, aligned marks. Which means they are not indicative of what you really got in both the PIP...

    Optometry

I think those are exceptional circumstances. If everybody begged and got in, there wouldn't be a need for cut-offs.

    That Anthony Ca...co...thing song.

Apparently the Aria Chart is not "accurate". It is base on the number of copies sold to the shops as wholesales, not how much the public has bought from the stores. So that's why Anthony's single was just released on monday and he is on the chart already, which is impossible if it was based on...

    Double degrees at UNSW

Well, people who have done two degrees separately would be more "knowledgable" because two degrees takes at least 2-3 years longer to complete. This is due to the fact that you take more units than a double degree person (Double degree takes some units off from both degrees to fit into a 4 year...

    Optometry

hello, you do not have to sit for UMAT. If you got into a science course, pick chemistry, and physics, so when you transfer to optometry after 1 year, you won't have to start "all over" again. For example, you won't have to do biology, chem and physics again, but to do the courses that you've...

    Optometry

Prepare to work hard in Optometry. You have to be good in Physics, and chemistry. If you've got a place in optometry, consider physics and chemistry bridging courses if you haven't done HSC chem/phys. :)

    Letters about the PIP

You can't work out your PIP mark based on the HSC mark. You need to apply for your raw mark for the PIP component under the FOI act and a fee. See the HSC Mark forum for more information.

    Optometry

Options: 1. Get into FEES like what ohne said 2. Do a B Science and transfer after 1 year of uni, with high enough mark of course.

    Letters about the PIP

94 is great, but let's think about it for a moment. If you could have gotten 30/30 for your PIP, in exam you would have got 64/70? I think, according to someone, you get the letter early next year.

2004 HSC Society and Culture Results

I think my teacher was a bit generous than the HSC markers. I got 96 in the Half yearly and 94 in the Trial and ended up with a HSC mark of 93. So I think my teacher was pretty accurate.

    dux of school get prize?

Engineering @ UNSW or Usyd? any advice?

UNSW accept more students than USyd in Engineering. Quota restriction is one. Some people prefer the uni, not so much the actual course Some people prefer the location of the uni... etc
