I think what braintic meant was that technically speaking, writing sin-11 only gives one angle, not the other angles which are also solutions. If you learn inverse trig functions (this is an ext1 topic) sin-11 = pi/2 only.
I'll feel that this phrase has arisen due to the UNSWers' insecurities and the fact that it comes up so often to defend themselves suggests how much people actually do doubt the new south in the first place ahahaha :D
Another approach is to note that
\cos(\alpha + \beta) + \cos(\alpha - \beta) = 2\cos\alpha\cos\beta
Let
\alpha=\frac{\pi}{4} + \theta
\beta=\dfrac{\pi}{4} - \theta
and the result follows
If you're unfamiliar with reverse chain rule/substitution then use the table of standard integrals
\displaystyle\int \sin ax\,dx = -\dfrac{1}{a}\cos ax+c
\displaystyle\int \cos ax\,dx = \dfrac{1}{a}\sin ax +c
Pretty sure it's iron...there is something called stainless steel lol
I suspect it is to do with the carbon content in steel which are less inclined to react with oxygen and water than iron atoms due to differences in their electron structures
Two things I want to point out about your rebuttal Amleops:
In the short to medium term, it is very unlikely that there will be new competitors in the university market. The start up costs to set one up and to attract students are way too high especially when you're competing with well...
I think you need to keep in mind that there are more students than university places demanded for most courses. There is no 'perfect equilibrium' per se. You're using the economic competition model to explain that universities will compete for students by offering a superior product which makes...
I think a particularly harsh measure on the low income brackets is that anyone under 30 is not entitled to Newstart allowance until 6 months later. Basically, if you're a young unemployed person looking for work then you have no income support for 6 months...
Depends on what role you are going for but this might help indirectly some way (see 'Resume' section)

Re: HSC 2014 4U Marathon - Advanced Level
Sy123, I just wanna say SCREW YOU because this question (worded slightly differently) was a potential consideration for this year's BoS trials
Regarding (2), another way to think of it is as
\dfrac{dt}{dQ} = \dfrac{1}{kQ} \\\\\displaystyle\int \dfrac{dt}{dQ}\,dQ = \displaystyle\int \dfrac{1}{kQ}\,dQ\\\\\displaystyle\int dt = \displaystyle\int \dfrac{1}{kQ}\,dQ
Um no the point you're trying to make is that degrees are useless. I don't know who you've been talking to but the majority of 'high level' jobs require at least a bachelor's degree. If you do not pursue a bachelor's degree it will be MUCH harder to get into those high level professions not to...
I don't think the issue lies with the education programs that you are heavily criticising. Given the diversity of jobs out there you are never going to use everything you learnt in uni in one role. Even if educational programs were improved to tailor for industry employment then there is still a...
