I think after 2 semesters of marks, they don't use UAIs as a part of the calculation for transfer for SOME courses. i don't know anything more...

That's because those degrees including "Honours" already. Any degree that are 3 years have an option to do an extra year of Honours. But those with 4+ years like Advanced Science included Honours already, whether you actually get the Honours title on your paper thingy is dependent on your marks.

Speaking from a UNSW point of view, in the first year, it is not too difficult to get credit average as long as you try. In terms of chemistry, HSC chemistry will not help you much in university (as well as physics) except HSC biology will help. Having said that, I think if you put some effort...

yes you can. Do B Science (3 years) and pick half psyc subjects and half genetic subjects. It is the ONLY way to major in both, unless you want to do 2 degrees, B Psyc and then B Science (6 years).
