Units of study, electives etc for B health sciences

Yes you can. A couple of people are doing 'triple majors'. A major usually requires 12 credit points of junior units and 36 of senior ones. The only problem may be clashes in your timetable.

got an offer in B HEALTH SCIENCE, but HELP!

Yes, theyre just generic codes the faculty puts down for everyone that enrols in health science. They arent actually subjects. You change them to the electives you actually want to take, you can do this online from around mid February (though you can change them up to the beginning of semester 2)

In first year, first semester its about 16 hours a week including lectures, pracs etc. From second semester onwards it really depends on what electives and majors you choose.

    Tutorial times

Some of your subjects might have pracs instead of tutorials. Also, sometimes the list of tutorial times isnt released until relatively late.

Help me get mgmt as a major with 2 others?

If you were doing Comm/Arts you would be able to do all 3, as an arts degree would allow you to major in management through the faculty of econ and business. That way you could do the other 2 majors as part of your comm degree. Im not sure how you go about enrolling in Comm/arts though, you...

got an offer in B HEALTH SCIENCE, but HELP!

Yes, you can still do French as an elective! Electives can be anything, completely unrelated to health science and your major so you just choose subjects which you think you will enjoy. What you really need to do for anatomy is look at the prerequisites for the senior units of study in the...

got an offer in B HEALTH SCIENCE, but HELP!

My advice would be to choose a major youre interested in and has relevance to what you want to do. Seeing as you want to do DR, anatomy and histology would be of a greater use to you when you start that course. Remember, you could always choose French units as electives instead of dedicating a...

are all of these junior units?

Junior units are usually those beginning with 1 in the unit of study code. For example GOVT1101 Australian politics is a junior unit, as is SCLG1001 and SCLG1002.

Yes, its possible. You just have to let the uni know you will no longer be paying fees upfront so they dont expect a payment.

You will be enrolled as a commonwealth supported student on enrolment day. All Australian domestic students are commonwealth supported. If you choose to pay the contribution upfront you get a 20% discount which makes the fees for the semester ~$2000 (just an estimation). If you cant pay your...

The first year of BHS is taught at main campus and the faculty of health science has O week activities at both campuses. You will be given more information at enrolment, but when I went to O week there was a tour around main campus for BHS people where you got a tour of the campus with other...

got an offer in B HEALTH SCIENCE, but HELP!

Yes! You can virtually do any unit of study you want with the leftover units and from ANY faculty (though in some faculties there are restrictions. For example you cant do accounting from the faculty of economics and business for some reason). Thats why I think the degree is so good, because you...

Units of study, electives etc for B health sciences

Hey, All the BHS units of study in first semester are core (compulsory units) so you dont really have a choice! In first semester its PSYC1001 psychology and a unit of junior biology (BIOL1003 Human Biology if youre majoring in hearing and speech or movement science, BIOL1001 otherwise). The...

got an offer in B HEALTH SCIENCE, but HELP!

Thats ok, when I first enrolled I was so confused about everything! Im doing a management major, so Im at main campus all the time. As for the 4 subjects in semester 1, I think health science and research is available in semester 2. So you could swap health science and research to semester 2 and...

Hearing and speech and movement science majors (which most people in BHS do) begin in second year. But majors from other faculties often have prerequisite subjects that have to be completed in first year (for example, if you were doing a psych major you would need to do PSYC1001 and PSYC1002 to...

got an offer in B HEALTH SCIENCE, but HELP!

You dont have to choose electives on enrolement day, but its advisable to look at the requirements for your second major to see if you need to do any subjects in first year. Most faculties have the requirements for majors available on their website. For French, go to the arts website and...
