    Parking at Cumberland

When I was there last semester it was usually late afternoon so there was spots. But I have heard its usually full by about 9 or so. There usually is parking somewhere though, you may just have a massive walk. Or you could park at the tafe which is next door, that costs $4.

    Parking at Cumberland

On street parking is unlimited for time and you dont need to pay for it (they were talking about introducing parking meters though, not sure if its happened yet). Though if you dont get there early (ie before 8:30) youll have a bit of a walk. There is parking on campus which costs around $4...

Yeah that sounds right, as long as it says 'enrolled' Im sure youre fine.

    B Health science

Yeah the 4 senior BHS units are taught on main campus, which means people doing hearing and speech and movement science are at both Camperdown and Cumberland campuses. I think they try to put all the lectures and tutorials on different days though so you arent travelling between campuses. As far...

    B Health science

The first year Bachelor of Health Science students all study at Camperdown campus. Then depending on what major you choose you can be either at Cumbo or Camperdown (human movement and hearing and speech are at Cumberland whereas majors such as management, medicinal chemistry etc are at...

I think youll still need to attend the tutorials because its a pass requirement of the subject, even if you have attended them before.

    B Health Sci OR B Exercise&SportSci/Nutrtion?

I think physiotherapy is quite a difficult course to transfer into because most of the places are usually taken by HSC graduates. Health Sciences does provide guaranteed entry, although you need to remember that you need to maintain at least a credit average for your place to be 'guaranteed'...

Units of study, electives etc for B health sciences

Nah, there wasnt any chemistry in any of the first year subjects (I suppose that depends on what electives you choose, but just choose electives without chemistry!). The most was probably a bit of very basic chem in human biology, which you could memorize straight out of the textbook (the human...

Units of study, electives etc for B health sciences

Hey Viv, You do the 4 BHS units of study in second or third year. Though I suppose if they were available and you were allowed to enrol you could do one or two in second semester of first year (in second semester 2009 the only ones available are HSBH3001 Health of indigenous populations and...

Units of study, electives etc for B health sciences

Hi Viv, With the semester 2 electives you can really just pick anything. I know plenty of people doing the movement science major who picked subjects completely unrelated to the major. All the subjects you need are contained within the major. Though if you want to get ahead you could pick an...

Units of study, electives etc for B health sciences

Hi Olivia, As you probably already know, you begin studying your major in second year. In first year you only do 2 electives and theyre both in semester 2. All the semester 1 units (foundations of health science, health science and research, human biology and psychology 1001) are core units that...

    B Health science

Im not too sure, but some of the human movement students in the BHS claim theres only 10 or so CSP offers made and the rest are full fee. But I personally think there would have to be more places than that because its in such high demand.

    B Health science

I agree, exercise and sport science would probably be much better suited to physio. The guarantee in health science isnt just for physio though, its for all health science masters courses offered at USYD. I suppose they want to increase the enrolments in the health science course.

    B Health science

Hey, I did psyc1001 in semester 1, all BHS students do. But its also available in summer school, hence the 'sum', but that session is really for people who are looking to get ahead in their degree or who failed a unit. As for the course, I think its good in terms of flexibility and structure...

    Travel Concessions

Most people have concession stickers, even when they work part time (because lets face it, most people couldnt afford to be at uni without working!). I havent really heard of anyone having any troubles and I dont think the government could be bothered checking everyone who applies.

    B Health science

I started a BHS in 2008 and we didnt get that booklet. As far as Im aware, the content and structure of the course hasnt changed and there isnt a 'sociology strand' in the BHS (unless you choose to major in sociology, but thats done through the faculty of Arts). Though, it could be to do with...

    Math 1901. Biol 1003. Phys 1002.

I did BIOL 1003 human biology in first semester 08. It has quite a workload as the lectures arent very substantial (or very detailed), so you need the textbook to expand on what was said in the lectures. As long as you read, remember and understand whats in the textbook you shouldnt have too...
