    Sefton high school 99.95?

    sure there are like 1 or 2 scholarships that require 99.95, but what is to say the 300 other students that get 99.6-99.9 are of so much less worth. In the long run, 99.95 may be beneficial to 1 course and 1 scholarship, yet if you only get 99.7 or so, your chances of getting other scholarships...

    Galvanic Cell HSC 2008

    That's it, nothing else to say. Edit: actually i guess you could say that after a while some Ni2+ could migrate into the other half cell via the salt bridge making the other cell light green

    Expected length of HSC economics extended response?

    it is suggested 800 words in 35 minutes. The HSC markers are looking for quality over quantity, but if you can spend more time on an essay and do both, the you're a winner :) I aim to spend around 45-50+ minutes on each extended response by making up time on the MC and short answers.

    which equation to use, 2SO +O2 <-> 2SO3 or SO2 + 0.5O2 <-> SO3

    I would use the first one if not provided. The would mark correct for both on an equilibrium expression, but obviously there 2 different answers would result

    Why is Na2SO4 neutral but NaHSO4 acidic

    ok sorry yes I agree with something, Na2SO4 is a weak basic salt. to ^ H2SO4 undergoes stepwise ionisation in which the first step goes to completion, yet the second step does not, resulting in SO42- being a weak base.

    Atar Estimate

    nope, they take bonus points as if they were your atar. e.g. you get 95 and b5 english you are considered equal to someone who got 97 atar. I don't think you will have any problem getting into your course with your ranks and BP's. You will EASILY get a 92 atar and 5 bonus points. just don't get...

    Physics Marathon 2012

    the slingshot effect occurs irrespective of mass. As space is a vacuum, momentum is conserved in a system and, by taking the moons tangential velocity as negligible (it could even provide a boost if the rocket went behind the moon) the overall momentum will remain in the system. Hence the speed...

    Physics Marathon 2012

    As the spacecraft was crippled, the astronauts would attempt to return to earth with minimum fuel used. By using the slingshot effect around the moon, theorised by Isaac Newton, the rocket would be able to change its direction without any net loss of speed (insert diagram with rocket going...

    also, I have one of the best projectile motion questions for physics, please don't try and use X1 to make it easier. An object is fired at an angle of 15 degrees to the horizontal. It hits the ground 7m from its starting point. Find its initial velocity. (g=-9.8ms-2)
