Whoa, Lavina leaving after Disco night. But I'm happy anyway :)

    Thank God You're Here

Ooo Andrew G is gonna be on...

    Australian Idol 2006

I think the bottom 3 will be Ricky, Damien (barring a deluge of sympathy votes) and Chris or Lavina. I'm thinking it'll be Ricky though, for some reason even though I didn't hate his performance as much as the others.

    Australian Idol 2006

I think Kyle is the only one who truly likes him. That primal scream he does is disgusting. Ick. I'd rather see another of Dean's lame backflips than that "throw-ya-head-back and shriek" thing that Chris does.

Do you mean Damien? They were harsh but he could've chosen the Bee Gees or something. It looked like he had given up on the genre and decided to crash his way through it anyway. Also, I just realised how crazily unexpected it was that Bobby gets a Touchdown on Disco night of all nights...

Jessica is like a better, more talented, more understated, less show offy version of Lavina. Favs this week = Bobby, Dean and Jess. Alright = Lisa, Lavina Worst = the rest Kate: Bobby's dancing is weird but his arrangement was just a killer.

Bobby: Weird factor = sky high Awesome factor = sky freaking high :D :D

    Australian Idol 2006

I haven't heard the judges comments yet cos the performance is still on but this might just be my fav performance by Dean...weirdly. GET RID OF THE SHIRT THOUGH! Edit: Agreed with Mark. Dean is actually improving week after week. Lisa was weird. I'm 50/50 on her now but I still wanna...

It was bad but I didn't expect them to be so harsh. Yeah, he can't do disco but at least refrain from choosing the WORST possible song for himself.

    Australian Idol 2006

My least liked performers seem to be going first - Chris, Lavina, Ricky. I cringed at Chris's performance as well as Kyle's comment. Urgh!

    On the Jellicoe Road

Yeah, I'll give it a try once exams are over. Letters from the Inside was a weirrrd book and Winter was just spooky. I'm a bit of a conventional reader, I guess.

    On the Jellicoe Road

The idea of being "John Marsden"-ish puts me off so much. The only John M book I like is "So much to tell you". Ah well.

    The Devil Wears Prada

Katy, you gotta relax. At the end of the day, it's just a popcorn movie, really. Even if it does have snippets of deeper/life lesson moments. I was laughing out loud for most of Emily's and Nigel's lines in this movie :D Edit: Katy, to do a spoiler thing, put: [ spoiler ] [...

    The Devil Wears Prada

I just saw it and considering the book was pretty crap (fascinating but dragging and dull at times), the movie was EXCELLENT! :D I loved how the cut out the boring parts which would not translate well to film anyway. It had alot more feeling and Andy was so much less robotic than in the book...

Ohhhhh man, I am so looking forward to the above selection by those 3 :D

    David Tench Tonight

I don't mind the whole virtual idea but this Tench dude is ridiculously UN-FUNNY :mad1: His interview with Mark Holden with the both of them cackling and spluttering all over the place was the weirdest thing ever....

    James Morrison

I think I'm already tiring of the "You give me something" song. Gahh. I'm not sick of his voice but I wish he had some better songs :(

    Australian Idol 2006

It might be surprising on Disco night cos I remember when Casey sang "Shake your groove thang" or something and it was actually quite good. I have a feeling Bobby might fair better than Lisa on Sunday.

    James Morrison

Ok, I'm just watching live clips of him and omg, he has a horrible speaking voice. I'll just skip to the performing bit. His speaking voice/tone is so jarring unlike his singing voice

    James Morrison

Old thread but he's my new "artist of the moment". I can see myself tiring of his music after a few months but he's a good mix of a few artists I like - Jason Mraz, James Blunt (not anymore, really but still) and Gavin DeGraw.
