What subjects are good to study?

Re: what subject are good to study? if you don't know what to do in terms of career then I think you shoudl look at what you're good at in the HSC and try to find a degree that accomodates those interests and is still gives you options to pursue other things. I did that cos I had no idea...

Bands/musicians that everybody loves but you can't get into

I didn't think I was really gonna offend people about that but I'll revise what I said: What i was referring to was the rubbish RnB that is played on mainstream radio. If there is better stuff out there (more obscure artists) then I'm all for being open and listening to it. Otherwise, it's...

What subjects are good to study?

Re: what subject are good to study? It might help if you decided what degree to do first or even narrowed down the faculty (i.e like Arts humanities, Economics and Business, Science, Law etc) Subjects are classified according to faculty and although students can cross faculties for a few...

    Is this just a RUMOUR?!?!?!?

I don't do the course so I probably won't say much that is helpful but I was just wondering who were the "people" who told you this course is crap? When I was in year 12, alot of people were talking about degrees like they knew it all not realising that friends/class mates were taking them...

Bands/musicians that everybody loves but you can't get into

Madonna Any thug/RnB/hip hop artist (though I can't resist the Promiscuous Girl song) Elvis (am a Beatles devotee :D) Rogue Traders (CANNOT STAND Natalie's voice! ) PussyCat Dolls (My God, they suck...) Rihanna (she sounds worse than James Blunt in "Unfaithful"...both sound...

I stick to navy, cream, white, black and brown. A very boring palette but I don't like to experiment much :)

    Worst Song Ever.

Yeah, I'd agree with that. Everyone seems to just place Hanson in the "mmm Bop" box but there new stuff is really quite good. Even the old albums barring the annoying ubiquitous songs, are quite good. They've always written and performed their own music way before the trendy...

    the John Mayer thread (merged)

Yeah, I know it's practically blasphemy in this thread but does anyone notice how similar Teddy Geiger SOUNDS and LOOKS and PERFORMS like John Mayer??...urgh.. Music singles out the important difference though. John Mayer >>> Teddy G

USyd Students - the VSU Era - What will you do?

What does it mean to to pay "some of the fees"? Does this mean you pay fees for the clubs you want to join or other services or is there an option to pay half the full $500 or something?

    Grey's Anatomy vs House

Hmm not sure if I'm actually "qualified" to vote cos I don't watch either show religiously but from what I've seen, I don't like the whole soapiness of Grey's Anatomy (though I loove Isaiah Washington) and House just cracks me up sometimes. Hugh Laurie seals the deal. If I'm to sit down to an...

    Footy Legends

Ooo, I wanna watch this but I don't think any of my friends would wanna watch it. I don't like rugby (in fact, I hate it) but I'm interested in Khoa Do's work and most of the reviews I have read say that disliking rugby does not matter so much when it comes to this movie :)

    most depressing songs

Omg, I love that song so much :( When George died and Eric Clapton and Paul McCartney played it live for him, I almost started crying :( Some sad songs that come to mind Hallelujah - Jeff Buckley or Rufus Wainwright Lover, You Should've Come Over - Jeff Buckley or Jamie Cullum. More...

    TV show revivals

Captain Planet is alright for novelty value but I doubt I would be able to sit through a whole entire episode now at age 19 though :p Agree with Sailor Moon though. I went through an insane phase of colleting Sailor Moon merchandise when I was about 9 and although most of it has gone now...

    What songs make you happy

This is somewhat embarassing but that new Jessica Simpson song "A Public Affair" puts me in such a good mood. It's just plain sugary pop with an extremely "boppy" angle but it brings me back to the 1996-1999-ish late primary school days where pure pop ruled the radio lol

    ECMT1020 Textbook

Wave @ xiao lol I know a girl who did stats instead of Ecmt 1010 and she was asking me how to read Chi tables and that binomial crap. I don't think ecmt is any harder than stats but some concepts might be missing from stats that are required in ecmt.

    Australian Idol 2006

Yeah, I like her best so far. There are a few good singers but I don't like their attitude :mad1: Idol is the only reality show I've kept up with year after year. My interest wanes for most other reality shows, even The Amazing Race.
