honourable mention (HM) means a 7 in any question i have met maths teachers who said they can't do any imo questions. so a 7 in any question is a good achievement, especially for a year 10 student - even if they don't get a medal. as you can see Amber Li, a year 10 student from Pymble Ladies...

    imo 2024

going through all 9 pages there are a lot of 0s for P3 and P6 - negatively impacting on medal cutoffs ones to watch: 2 potential perfect scorers from china - CHN4 and CHN5, especially CHN4 who already got 7 for both P3 and P6! but in all 9 pages there are only 2 with 35 so far - which means...

Is there a Coroneos 100 thing for proofs?

so how about the biggest proof ever - that every finite simple group is cyclic of prime order, alternating, Lie type or sporadic first-generation classification 1955-2004 in over 500 papers and 15000 pages - so spread out that some experts involved in it have said no-one has read them all - so...

Is there a Coroneos 100 thing for proofs?

It's quite a recent proof, made in 2020 by this dude ZiJian Diao who put it in ZiJian Diao (2020) An Elementary Proof of the Irrationality of e, The American Mathematical Monthly, 127:1, page 84

11 years left - then no physics students

Well you can't make good wine from bad berries. If the only Australians who are breeding are the neanderbogans and those from better stock refuse to breed, what results is an anti-Darwinian devolution.

11 years left - then no physics students

Dumbing down in schools is so bad that in 11 years Australia will have no physics students left Even worse for girls - that's 8 years.

    Projectile Motion

Reflections magazine had them 1975-1980 but they are not online As I said before I've got them somewhere but I had trouble finding them. I'll look again later. The 1981-1989 is at http://www.mediafire.com/file/bsb129a66br9o94/1981-1989.zip

    Projectile Motion

Just a technical matter, but the last step in Killara solutions should replace ± with + I thought I had solutions to the 1979 HSC but seem to have lost them. I will try to find later, but they should be similar to the Killara solutions.

    CSSA trial (advanced/ extension maths)

There are 2 versions of the 2023 ext. 2 cssa, one with Q11d uncorrected and the other has it corrected. If you happen to get the uncorrected cssa, I should point out that there is an error in the original paper. The one I used was the corrected version Q11d: You will see "at rest" is crossed...
